All Saints Day
I really really hate the imagery of the manufactured holiday ‘Halloween’ (plastic grave stones, fake blood, zombies etc.)
So I decided to stage a tiny protest and indulge in a bit of treasury making. VoilĂ ! The All Saints Day treasury!

New plated metal components
I’ve had a bit of a productive time of it just lately, and made a few bits and bobs with some new plated metals I just got my hands on - gold, silver, and the new favourite black!
I’ve been concentrating on using only crystal beads, as they are sparkly and simple. I’ve also been prioritising colour, matching the colours of beads to the types of metal. Colour is what I do best, I know what goes with what, what will compliment and enhance.
Sometimes I think I try put too much into the designs, as if more beads will make it better. But after doing some research into handmade trends lately - less is definitely more!
Anyhoo - here are some of the things I’ve come up with for starters:
I’ll put them onto Etsy when I get a minute to edit all the photos ;)

I just had a major overhaul of my jewellery blog. Hope you like it ;) I do hope the title isn’t too ‘Disney’ hehe!
I’m really quite ashamed at how blank this blog is, and how I’m always meaning to put things on here and never get around to it.
So here’s to starting afresh...
With that in mind, I’m here to tell you about the new things I have just started to make. I have always loved charm bracelets, the type with lots of dangly sparkly things happening on them. So I’ve decided to make some.
I have been making some shimmerly pearlescent leaves to put on them, using my trusty old polymer clay and special powders. I’m also going to add some Lucite flowers too. Make them into real flower fairy bracelets!
I’m going to be doing a craft fair in a few weeks, where they will get shown in all their sparkly glory!

ammonites

I think ammonites are fascinating. Their distinctive shape has come to be the symbol of perfection in a visual sense, representing the Golden Ratio that runs through all living things. I think everyone has seen a diagram like this if you ever took maths at school.
So I have started to make some out of polymer clay. I have been using doll making clay as it’s sturdier than normal clay, and then using pearlescent powders to make them have shimmery fantasy colours. I’ve also been using a wire insert so the pieces can be turned into pendants or charms later.
I wore a finished one the other day and it was very wearable! It was colourful and noticeable - a real eye catching piece, and because they are made from polymer clay they are very durable and light. I’ll take some photos and post them at a later date.
